Where Will Zelda Go Next?

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker makes its glorious return on the Wii U console with brilliant HD graphics and enhanced game features this October. This classic featured a cell shade and cartoon infused look that really brought the world and characters to life. This will be a welcome release and the first HD Zelda game from Nintendo. Yet, there are still many gamers, including myself, that want a peek at the newest Zelda title currently in development. We all know it’s a ways off but a few screens or even a teaser trailer would spark a huge interest throughout the community and bring some much needed attention to the Wii U.

Back at the E3 event in 2011, gamers jaws dropped when they witnessed the demo of Zelda in high definition and in a much more mature art style. The lighting and crisp visuals were simply mind blowing for Zelda and Nintendo fans. Imagining all the dungeons and worlds displayed in this amount of detail was just thrilling to envision. I’m incredibly excited to revisit Wind Waker this fall but can’t wait to see what direction Nintendo is taking for Zelda’s new and still unannounced outing on the Wii U.

What graphic style would you prefer to see and what particular elements would you like to see implemented for the next release? There’s no doubt this could be the greatest Zelda title of all time if executed correctly and is built to efficiently use everything the Wii U has to offer including the GamePad’s extensive features.

Avid gamer who enjoys the older nostalgic titles as much as the newest AAA releases. Remakes from the classic 8 and 16 bit era are some my absolute favorite titles. I also enjoy experiencing new IP's on each and every platform, especially when the creators give the game an artistic look and unique presentation never seen before. I've been lucky enough to start out gaming on the NES. Since this rebirth of the industry, I have witnessed the evolution of gaming, both in its incredible growth in overall popularity and as an entertainment medium juggernaut. With the next generation of gaming upon us, there simply hasn't been a better time to be a gamer and I can't wait to experience all that it has to offer.
