I just got me some new logitech 5.1 speakers to replace my old cheap ones. I can’t remember which ones but they were about £100. I swear by 5.1 when gaming. Especially in games like BF3 and RO2!
Sounds good in racing games too
These sort of speakers and headsets compliment an X-fi soundcard very well too. Very crisp. I can’t recommend them for everyone though, as you have to pay a bit for that little extra quality sound, and most decent motherboards have superb on-board 5.1 and 7.1 solutions.
Absolutely! Surround sound is just as important as the graphics and gameplay quality in my opinion. It adds so much to games. I agree FPS’s are greatly enhanced with them. It always helps when you hear someone sneaking up behind you
