Killzone: Mercenary | Sony Vita’s Killer App

Killzone: Mercenary

Killzone: Mercenary sets to claim arguably the first true killer app for the Sony Vita. I imagine a bundle will be available upon release to make it even that much more irresistible. The Killzone series has gathered an impressive fan base and this could be a true turning point for the Vita in terms of sales and popularity. While the library has some great games, the system has still suffered mainly due to the low frequency of quality releases. Mercenary is poised to change that though and in a big way. It boasts console rich features which include a 6-8 hour single player campaign. Even more importantly, Guerrilla promises a true multiplayer package that will host 4 on 4 mayhem across six maps with three modes to choose from. To top it off, the graphics and presentation so far is like nothing we have seen on the Vita and is truly showing what Sony’s handheld can do when a talented team invests in it. Gamers will have to wait till September to get their hands on this highly anticipated title but from the looks of it, it will be well worth the wait.

About Dan Adcock

Avid gamer who enjoys the older nostalgic titles as much as the newest AAA releases. Remakes from the classic 8 and 16 bit era are some my absolute favorite titles. I also enjoy experiencing new IP's on each and every platform, especially when the creators give the game an artistic look and unique presentation never seen before. I've been lucky enough to start out gaming on the NES. Since this rebirth of the industry, I have witnessed the evolution of gaming, both in its incredible growth in overall popularity and as an entertainment medium juggernaut. We are quickly approaching the next generation of gaming and I couldn't be more excited for the almost limitless possibilities that await.
